About The Program

The 2024 Spring Healthcare IT Congress serves as a pivotal forum uniting CIOs, CISOs, VPs of IT, and other IT professionals at the director level or above from diverse healthcare systems across North America. With a focal point on addressing critical challenges within the healthcare IT landscape, discussions encompass preventing data breaches, improving patient experience through digital transformation, navigating cloud migration, leveraging AI in healthcare, optimizing data & analytics, managing IT budgets, addressing staffing shortages, and so much more. This Congress offers a platform for attendees to engage in collaborative exchanges – sharing industry pain points, learning from peers, and acquiring actionable insights to drive transformative changes within their organizations. The event format includes keynote addresses, panel sessions, interactive workshops, and collaborative roundtable discussions, complemented by communal meal functions fostering peer-to-peer networking opportunities, rendering this Congress an invaluable hub for knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and networking within the healthcare IT domain.

Topics Of Discussion

In today’s fast-paced and demanding healthcare industry, the prevalence of burnout is on the rise. Burnout can be detrimental to both individual well-being and organizational productivity. This keynote session is designed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for healthcare executives to thrive in their careers without sacrificing their personal lives. Leaders will walk away with actionable items to take back to their organizations to address the burnout epidemic at the organizational level. By addressing burnout head-on and providing actionable solutions, participants will leave inspired and equipped to thrive in their careers while safeguarding their well-being and personal lives.

  1. Improved diagnostics and personalized treatment: AI-enabled tools can analyze complex medical data, such as imaging results, genetic information, and patient history, to assist healthcare providers in making more accurate diagnoses and creating personalized treatment plans. This can lead to earlier detection of diseases, more effective treatments, and better health outcomes for patients.
  2. Enhanced patient care and monitoring: AI applications can help healthcare providers monitor patients in real-time, enabling early detection of potential health issues and timely intervention. Remote patient monitoring devices and AI-driven algorithms can track vital signs, medication adherence, and other health-related data, providing valuable insights to both patients and healthcare professionals.”

Online tracking technologies collect information about users that interact with websites or mobile apps to provide analytics and insights about those user interactions. Health Systems and Hospitals use data analytics from online tracking technologies to provide informed decisions that align with business strategies and while there are benefits, there are also significant risks when tracking technologies are not in compliance with federal regulations. This discussion will explore the benefits and associated risks of using online tracking technologies in healthcare; and what Health Systems and Hospitals are doing to protect patient privacy from information leakage, data breach, and potential cyberattack.

Organizations are focused on minimizing administrative work for providers and staff. What if a digital employee could shoulder much of this work? What does a health system with digital employees look like now and in the future? Explore timely solutions to real world clinical workflow problems in this discussion.

Care at Home services are becoming central to healthcare outpatient models so patients can be discharged early and freeing expensive inpatient beds. In order to do this safely, technology services need to be provided to continually monitor patient care, communicate with patients, and initiate escalation triggers. Are you considering Care at Home models, what are the concerns and how do you plan on successfully enabling care teams?

This session will offer a comprehensive overview of essential principles applicable in healthcare change management. Participants will learn these principles, apply them to healthcare scenarios, and take home a summary of key takeaways for practical implementation.

In this session, we investigate the intricate connection between individuals and technological advancements within organizational contexts. We will analyze how personal experiences shape team structures, emphasize the significance of strategic partnerships during organizational changes, and highlight the impacts of ineffective analysis, training, and communication strategies.

Delegate Testimonials

Hemali Joshi
Senior Vice President, Chief Data Officer, CAN Community Health

An extremely well-organized event with opportunity to network closely with like-minded leaders and meet vendors who get to know you without a templated sales pitch. I hope these events continue to grow and expand. The conversations of true barriers are more productive and attendees who truly want to help and mentor each other.

Billy Sainz
Information Technology Director, Citizens Medical Center

Best conference I have attended thus far. Unlike many that are vendor shows, Health IT Congress provided an atmosphere for collaboration and networking far superior.

Brian Shea
Chief Information Officer, MedOne Healthcare Partners

Bridgemark Media Groups Healthcare IT Congress programs and one of my favorite events to attend. It offered great networking, interactive conversations with peers, access to specific vendors.

Bill Reid
Director of IT, Methodist Senior Services

Great conference experience. The mixed conferences put me in touch with people otherwise out of my network and opened my eyes to common issues facing multiple industries.
